Carbon Monoxide Testing

The presence of Carbon Monoxide (CO) is the most common and serious safety issue in homes. Cabron Monoxide Testing™ eliminates the danger of CO poisoning in your home.

CO and Combustible Gas Test Procedure

  • Service technician uses an Ultra-Trac detector to detect levels of combustible gases and Carbon Monoxide (CO)

  • Measurements of the calibrated gas (0-100% by volume) are calculated with the use of the internal thermoconductivity-type sensors

  • CO is measured in the part per million (ppm) range

  • The HVAC system is checked for small cracks and blockages before they become big safety concerns

What Carbon Monoxide (CO) Is and How it is Produced

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a deadly, colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. It is produced by the burning of various fuels, including coal, wood, charcoal, oil, kerosene, propane, and natural gas.

There is a substantial percentage of deaths from CO poisoning due to malfunctioning fuel-burning appliances such as furnaces, ranges, water heaters and room heaters; engine-powered equipment such as portable generators; fireplaces; and charcoal that is burned in homes and other enclosed areas.

CO testing successfully eliminates all present and potential safety concerns by detecting even the smallest cracks and blockages in the heat exchanger of your furnace before the levels of CO become dangerously high and are detected by the Carbon Monoxide alarm in the upper levels of your home.

CO alarms are still a very effective tool for home safety. View the Senco Model ONE CO Alarm features.
