Western Canadian Furnace Supports the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta and their upcoming Pretty In Pink Gala Event this October

KCCFA is rolling out the red carpets for Calgary's first and only event for dads and daughters at the Hotel Arts on Saturday, October 24, 2009. Girls will have the unique opportunity to get dressed up and spend some quality time with their dad while supporting a worthy cause; all proceeds will go to the KCCFA Derek Wandzura Memorial Scholarship fund, the only scholarship program in the province that awards education bursaries to young people with a history of cancer.

This Pretty in Pink evening features a gourmet buffet meal prepared by awarding winning executive chef Duncan Ly along with raffles, prizes, bucket draws and a silent auction to which Western Canadian Furnace has donated a complete Furnace Cleaning Package.

"I think it's important for businesses to support their local charitable organizations, and we've been focusing on expanding our involvement with them," says Western Canadian Furnace Company's Vice President, Oksana Irwin. "KCCFA has put together a very fresh idea that has never been done in Calgary before. We really admire that."

Tickets to Pretty in Pink are $150 for dad & daughter, and $50 for each additional daughter. For more information, please visit http://www.kidscancercare.ab.ca
