Why should I have my air ducts cleaned?
Regular furnace and air duct cleaning will noticeably reduce dust and dirt in your home. It will also significantly improve the efficiency of your heating and cooling systems. By doing so, you will improve indoor air quality in your home.
How long does the procedure take?
It takes between 1 to 1 1/2 hours to clean an average house sized from 1200 to 1800 sq ft. If your house has special conditions, it could take more time.
How often should the ducts be cleaned?
For best results and equipment performance, your furnace should be cleaned and inspected every year. The air ducts should be cleaned every two years. If you have pets, live in newer neighborhood, or someone in your family has asthma or allergy conditions, yearly cleaning and inspection may be beneficial.
Will it make a mess?
Generally it's a mess free procedure. The dirt and dust gets pushed down from the vents to the ducts, and then to the furnace. Once all the dirt and dust gets to the furnace, it gets sucked out to the furnace truck. Technicians always complete each job with a clean up.
Is it really worth your money?
Absolutely! With regular cleaning and maintenance your furnace equipment will operate at its peak efficiency and will have a significantly longer life span. Regular cleaning will also reduce dust and most of all improve breathing conditions in your home.
